Project Size: 7,700 sqft
Project Completion: 2000
Set into a sloped site, the house is situated so that a significant piece of the existing natural west coast landscape is retained in the front yard to screen the house from the street and create a sense of arrival at the double height, covered entry. A wide, sky-lit covered veranda connects the living, dining, kitchen and breakfast nook to the outside, while still allowing light to penetrate the interior. Elegantly massed and detailed, the house features elaborate fascias, trim and brackets, stone chimneys and shingle walls inspired by the Arts and Crafts tradition.
